Built for careful listening.
The Big Knob replaces the usual small volume control with a full-screen knob or vertical studio-style slider. Both controls use 100 tactile steps with gentle haptic feedback, making small adjustments easier to feel and repeat.
The app controls the iPhone’s current system media volume. Physical side-button changes are reflected in the app, and your preferred knob or slider layout can be selected in iPhone Settings.
Some Bluetooth speakers and headphones support fewer hardware volume levels. When Bluetooth is connected, several fine steps may produce one audible change. For the finest control, use the iPhone speaker, wired headphones, or a wired audio system.

No Data Collection
The Big Knob does not collect personal information, analytics, location data, contact information, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, or tracking data.
No Tracking or Advertising
The app does not use advertising, third-party trackers, analytics SDKs, cookies, fingerprinting, or behavioral profiling.
No Audio Recording
The Big Knob does not record, listen to, analyze, upload, or store audio. It only adjusts the system media-volume control provided by iOS.
Volume and Audio-Route Information
The app reads the current system volume so its control can match your iPhone. It also checks whether the active output is Bluetooth so it can explain when fine volume steps may be limited. This information is processed on your device and is not transmitted or stored by Mayer Studio Inc.
Settings Stored on Your Device
Your choice of knob or slider is saved locally using standard iPhone preferences. The Big Knob does not create an account or sync this preference to an external server.
Children’s Privacy
Because the app does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
